Florida Hospital Waterman Hosts Farmers Market
12/8/2006

As part of its commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles, Florida Hospital Waterman will host a Farmers Market for employees on December 20 at the Tavares facility.  Fresh fruits and vegetables, herbs, nuts, honey and specialty breads will be offered for sale in the rear parking lot of the FHW Medical Office Building from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.

The Farmers Market is being provided as a health-benefit to employees by increasing their access to healthy foods and encouraging the incorporation of healthy foods into their diet.  "By offering access to fresh produce, we're taking health care beyond the doctor's office and empowering our employees to take a more proactive approach to their health," said FHW president Ken Mattison.

It is anticipated that the market will resume on a weekly or bi-weekly basis after the holiday season.  For more information, please call 352.253.3388.
